The week after next, I’ll be heading over to Denmark for the Very Last Miracle Database Forum.
Registration is still open and it looks like pretty good value to me – accommodation, meals, parties and three streams of technical presentations for a couple of days for 1280 Euros (about £900). With Hotsos being so far away for European attendees, I reckon it’s a pretty good alternative when you take a look at the agenda. Running from Thursday to Saturday also reduces the amount of time us contractors have to take away from work. Direct flights from Edinburgh, too 😉

The DBF must be a lot of fun, especially with the Miracle guys! They have their own brewery and are trained as hell 😉
Tomorrow I know if I’m allowed to go too, but my chances are very low, as I’ll already go to my first OOW. I’m still an employee, without any holiday left 🙁 otherwise the decision was quickly taken! 🙂

That’s what I did… a nice mail with the total price of the event, that I would work 2 days more and that they even gain 100 euro extra if we do it like that!
But firms don’t always follow the logic! We will see tomorrow what they say, the meeting is already postponed for the 3rd time… I still have a couple of days (hours) 😉 In the meanwhile we keep smiling 🙂
outch – OOW … why go there when you could have gone to … I don’t know, HOTSOS Symposium or UKOUG or the very, very last DBF 😉
