Oh, well, perhaps you shouldn’t try a new presentation approach when you have less than a week to prepare it, you have a cold (sorry not meant to mention that) and you’re getting ready to go on holiday.
I was really optimistic about how tomorrow’s presentation would go, because I like the material, until I ran through it tonight and realised it’s likely to take 15 minutes of a scheduled 45! It’s an unusual problem because normally people are trying to pack their material into the available time and I’m no different but, in an attempt to make it snappy and light, it just runs far too quickly. I have 74 slides and I still think it’ll take 15 minutes, which tells you something about the slides!
In the end, I’ll just go with what I’ve got. In my experience, people might think less of you for having a short presentation but they really hate having to sit for longer than they were expecting. I suppose this way they’ll have time for an extra couple of coffees!
Oh and I might play the pity card of being a last minute stand-in who saved the day! Yeah, right …
74 slides in 15 minutes ! That means your readers will have 12 seconds to digest and assimilate each slide and listen.

I was going to do that for bad practices, but then Connor went and raised the bar, damn I hate that.
Trust me, with one week’s prep time and the worst cold I’ve had in some time, it was hardly a polished masterpiece, but at least there were lots of pictures and barely a bullet point in sight.
I preferred it myself, but not sure how it went down with others.
