Hotsos has long since passed and it’s time for someone else to have a bit of recognition. This is Derek Junior.

An invisible turtle called Derek lived in the bath in our last home. Invisible turtles and house moves are a bad combination and he was left behind. We have no idea what happened to him because we expect the new occupants weren’t too happy about having a turtle in their bath and we certainly didn’t feel it appropriate to knock on the door and ask if we could have Derek back. Worse still, Derek Junior is now effectively an orphan. I think you’ll agree it’s written all over his face.
We take very good care of him and are optimistic that he’ll become a fully rounded turtle, given time.
(You know my favourite bit? Every time a new member of the family becomes this blog’s guest star, many other Oracle blogs on Blogger change instantly, too 😉 )
Oh, he needs a different picture in your profile. The resizing doesn’t complement him well…
I know, I know, but I wouldn’t want to spend too much time on it! At least his proportions are correct on my comments on other people’s blogs 😉
I think he looks as though he REALLY wants to be invited to join the Oak Table (;-)!)

Derek Jr? I think he’d get crushed by The Rabbit in the rush to join.
Sorry, he’s lovely but he has absolutely no interest in computers – that’s The Dog’s domain.
We have an invisible frog in our bath tub. It’s quite possibly a White Lipped Green Tree Frog, from the sound it makes, but we’ve never given it a name.
🙂

That’s more like it! Come back and comment whenever you want 😉 Don’t suppose you’d reconsider your anonymity, would you? Thought not …
Allow me to share a song that my two-year old sings.
“I got a little turtle,
his name is Tiny Tim,
I put him in the bathtub,
to see if he can swim.
He drank up all the water,
he et up all the soap,
now he’s sick in bed
with a bubble in his throat.
Bubble-bubble-bubble,
Bubble-bubble-bubble,
Bubble-bubble-bubble,
Bubble-bubble … *pop*”
That is all.
” Allow me to share a song that my two-year old sings.”
Gosh, they’re very literate. Must take after their Dad 😉
Oh, dear, that lot are all sitting on the comfy seat singing their heads off now. It could go on for weeks! (It usually does when they learn a new song …)
