When I left for the US, Edinburgh was covered in snow. It returned yesterday to the extent that Edinburgh airport was closed for a while. The Continental flight in from New York was diverted to Belfast.
Now that would have been fun 🙁

When I was a lad, we used to play a boardgame called “Go”, in which you travelled round the world collecting souvenirs. On each of your travels, you might land on a red dot and thus have to take a “Risk!” card. My favourite ‘Risk’ penality was whilst crossing the Atlantic to New York: ‘Hurricane Warning! Your flight is diverted to Christmas Island. Miss three turns’.
Now *that* would have been an interesting diversion! (And a bloody powerful hurricane, I might add!!)
