five SCSI disks.”
I had hoped I’d be able to put off installing more disks into my recently acquired server. I can, because the single-drive tests are going well, but not for much longer.
The last time I bought hardware on eBay – the server itself – Peter Scott commented that his company had recently disposed of some hardware that might have been suitable. So, just in case, I can offer a cosy home for any stray SCSI disk drives that you might know of. Ideally, these would be SCSI Ultra160 devices, manufactured by Seagate and 36Gb capacity. However, as I’m looking for 4-5 disks, any matching set would do just fine. I admit it’s a long-shot and I’ll be pursuing this on eBay too, but any offers of help would be received most gratefully. We can sort out the financial details later, depending on the drives. In fact, even a loan of the drives would be fine, but that’s probably asking too much.
