Blogger Dinner

I just wanted to add my thanks to the UKOUG for the funding and Mark Rittman for the organisation. Like some others I felt it was a bit of a shame that, with 20 or so people on two different tables, I didn’t get to meet everyone properly. In fact, I ended up sitting between Jonathan Lewis and Niall Litchfield who were probably two of the people I know best! I still had a great time, but if we’d managed to have dinner earlier maybe we would have had time for a nightcap afterwards. As it was, everyone had to head off to get some sleep and prepare for Tuesday.

This morning I attended the start of Mogen’s presentation. Only the start because I’ve seen the same presentation very recently at the Scottish OUG meeting, but I was keen to see him being piped to the stage by Thomas Presslie of the Scottish OUG committee. Yes, I really do mean bagpipes! Mogens likes to make an entrance 😉 I watched the opening few slides which were hilarious and skipped out once he got to the meat of the presentation. My favourite line was ‘Yes, you can actually attach disks directly to a computer!’.
