We all went back to one of the houses (a couple of doors down from the one I’m in) for lots of drink and chat. I carefully stuck to the beer and talk of presentations, written and unwritten. <\/p>\n

I’m really going to have to stop confessing to my complete inactivity on this blog. The first thing Jonathan said to me yesterday was ‘have you finished that presentation yet’? I also discover that more people have made the print deadline for this conference than usual!<\/p>\n

It’s becoming clearer by the day that the community are getting a little suspicious of me and my cheap camera and were the resulting pictures might appear so, despite some gentle encouragement, only Bill ‘Shrek’ Thater made rude gestures for his photo.<\/p>\n

Anyway, we decided to adjourn pretty early, only to find Mogens hiding out in ‘our’ house when we got there. Graham Wood had brought along a bottle of tequila. High quality tequila. Tequila is something I haven’t consumed in about 15 years. I went through a bit of a tequila craze and by the end of it, I could still taste the damn stuff when I was sober! Not wanting to be rude, I agreed to try one which tasted quite wonderful. So wonderful that I thought another sounded good. Well, I managed half of it and then simply had to lie down. The next morning I realised some of just can’t compete with Oracle employees, present and ex 😉<\/p>\n
