It seemed somehow appropriate. I have been known to be so positive and excitable when discussing the OEM Performance Pages that I thought I should tone down the overall effect by wearing &#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"serendipity_image_link\" href=\"http:\/\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow3.jpg\"><!-- s9ymdb:272 --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"serendipity_image_center\" height=\"361\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow3.jpg?resize=640%2C361\" style=\"border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px\" width=\"640\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A SQL Server T-Shirt &#128521; There were various guerilla marketing crowds outside Moscone West this year and a woman had thrust a goodie bag in my hand. I accepted it before I knew what was in there, honestly! But in came in handy although I doubt I&#8217;ll be wearing it again.<\/p>\n<p>I think my presentation may have sent a few people to sleep &#8211; a few eyes certainly glazed over &#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"serendipity_image_link\" href=\"http:\/\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow4.jpg\"><!-- s9ymdb:273 --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"serendipity_image_center\" height=\"361\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow4.jpg?resize=640%2C361\" style=\"border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px\" width=\"640\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; and finally, a couple from the final day of the Oracle Closed World conference.<\/p>\n<p>Uri Shaft discussing some maths stuff. (and believe me, this is his <em>big<\/em> writing, which he only agreed to after people found the small writing above impossible to see. I wasn&#8217;t in the room at the time, but you can see a rather more shy Flatcat off to the right.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"serendipity_image_link\" href=\"http:\/\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow6.jpg\"><!-- s9ymdb:275 --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"serendipity_image_center\" height=\"361\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow6.jpg?resize=640%2C361\" style=\"border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px\" width=\"640\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But here is the photo that I absolutely demanded Marco take at some point. As regular OOW visitors will be aware, people have a variety of ribbons attached to the bottom of their badge holder representing various groups, affiliations and extra conference registrations. As I pointed out to Marco, there is a well-known syndrome of men perhaps <em>compensating for their inadequacies<\/em> when purchasing long, flashy sports cars. For some reason, this popped into my head when I first saw Marco&#8217;s ribbons.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"serendipity_image_link\" href=\"http:\/\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow7.jpg\"><!-- s9ymdb:276 --><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"serendipity_image_center\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/18.133.199.212\/wp-content\/uploads\/recovered\/marco_oow7.jpg?resize=289%2C512\" style=\"border: 0px none ; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px\" width=\"289\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Trying to compensate for something, Marco? I think we should be told. LOL<\/p>\n<p>Then again, as Boneist pointed out &#8211; &#8216;What is it with you guys and your ribbons?
