Prompted by Jeff Moss’ blog, I’ve been trying out Orion on a couple of servers. I’ve blogged about it over on the ISP4400 blog<\/a>. (Actually, I’ve only just realised that hosting the blog html myself probably means I can’t use permalinks to individual blog entries. Hopefully the ISP4400 blog has a pretty limited shelf-life anyway)<\/p>\n

For the Spectrum fans, I noticed this interesting site<\/a> about Easter Eggs but it’s probably a bit too specialised if you’re not into the subject already. It made me remember that when I was putting together the initial population for a high score table, all my friends initials would be in there, plus the initials of political organisations I supported. Not that anyone noticed. I was young.<\/p>\n

If you visit here regularly, you’ll notice that the look and feel template has changed. I don’t like the look of this template as much but it has the advantage of wide columns that are better suited to showing code examples. I fiddled around with the other template but just made it look worse. From the start I’ve been determined not to spend too much time on the presentation of the blog so, as long as it’s readable, I’m happy.<\/p>\n

I realised the other day that I’ve posted absolutely nothing about Oracle’s hosted HTMLDB service. The truth is that I probably won’t for a while now because I’m spending all the time working on the server and the Hotsos paper.<\/p>\n
