What’s good enough for Niall is good enough for me … Here’s my agenda for the UKOUG conference
Sunday – Oak Table day. Like Niall, I won’t be there at the start, but even half a day of this standard will add a lot to the conference for me. Then onto the volunteers meeting (apparently some free beer involved) then I think there might be an Oak Table organised social (more beer?).
Monday – Focus pubs (more beer) then the Mark Rittman-organised, UKOUG-sponsored Bloggers dinner (free food/more beer – possibly free?)
Tuesday – Networking evening (more beer)
Wednesday – Oh, dear, things start to happen …
9:00 Introducing Connor McDonald’s Evolution of SQL and PL/SQL whilst trying not to mention The Ashes.
9:55 Introducing Gaja Krishna Vaidyanatha’s ASH presentation
11:35 Server Technology Panel (with Niall). The UKOUG invited me onto this along with what looks like a very smart bunch of people from Oracle …. and Niall.
14:25 Introducing Carl Dudley’s Data Pump presentation. I’m particularly chuffed about this because I consider Carl to be a good friend and he always gives a good presentation. It’s always a tough gig presenting on Wednesday afternoon when people are drifting away, so come along and check it out. You’ll enjoy it.
I’m sure there’s something missing from this last day …. ?
P.S. For the more miserable amongst you – I’m kidding, of course.. Do you think I’d give up 3 days wages just for a drink?!?!?
