I’m packed and ready to fly down to Birmingham in the morning to attend UKOUG 2005.
After a long debate, we’ve decided that The Dog is going to stay behind and keep working on the server build. The wireless adaptor has turned up (thanks to Network Ned for excellent service), we have White Box, Centos and Solaris 10 as install options and it’s been moved to a sturdy table so he has plenty to be getting on with. I was going to post a photo of him getting on with his work but a friend has my camera which is a shame because I wanted to take a few photos in Birmingham. It sounds like there’ll be others taking care of that, though
I’ve been meaning to praise Yahoo’s spam filter for some time. It does such an excellent job that I worry sometimes that I’m going to miss a genuine email that doesn’t slip through the net. This week that’s happened a couple of times so maybe I need to be more careful, which is a shame because I appreciate the massive reduction in spam.
