Sorry, but I have to blog about this. When I got home last night, my other half wouldn’t shut up about Telewest cable tv’s new Teleport TV that appeared out of the blue yesterday. It’s like a low-functionality Tivo. i.e. We don’t have our own hard disk recorder, but Telewest run repeats, movies and the like to view on demand. Given how long this technology had been kicking around it’s taken a while to filter through. It struck me that she’s easily as excited about this as I ever get about Oracle …. I’m just blogging about it to drown out the extended feature descriptions filling my ears.
Now you’re back from Birmingham UKOUG, take your wife out for a meal. If she is getting ‘excited’ about re-runs of Tuesday night’s BBC news and Binge Britain Uncovered on Teleport, she desperately needs it 🙂
