The State of this Blog

I’ve had quite a few problems recently – lack of internet access for a while; difficulty in formatting some postings; my RSS feed broke yesterday and I had to be in work at 4am today for some production changes.

On the formatting, I’ve decided to change the template to make the main content wider which should make it easier to read examples. The first (potential) problem is that this may make it more difficult for some people to read – leave a comment if that’s true. The second problem is that the rounded corner graphics are completely wrong now. I have no intention of fixing this within the next few days because I have other things to do that are far more important

1) Reading Jonathan Lewis’ new CBO book which is jaw-droppingly good. I’ll post a review later.

2) Getting my server build finished. Now that all the hard drives are working fine, my CD media is playing up!

3) Getting some sleep.

So, I know the graphics are ugly but I can live with that for now. Hopefully you can too.

  1. I much prefer your
    modified template
    that makes the body
    of the article wider.
    The narrow long posts
    on Blogger remind me
    a little of Jonathan
    Lewis’ very narrow
    newsgroups postings
    on c.d.o.s. I wonder
    why he does that…

  2. I think I may have missed my chance. I once took my children roller skating and was stupified to see JL sitting in near total darkness typing on a laptop.

I actually went up to him and asked ‘Are you Jonathan Lewis ?’ to which he replied ‘Yes’.

I always was weak on chat-up lines.
