Happy Birthday Blog

Including the time spent on Tripod’s blogging tool (the one that didn’t record comments properly), I started this a year ago today.

I could do a review, but my head is still full of matters parallel and I’ve just had to stick a flowery shirt in the washing machine when I discovered that Monday’s Gala Night is themed ‘Party in Paradise’. Hopefully the shirt will dry in time or I’ll have nothing to wear 😉

I have to say that I’m not particularly looking forward to the trip. I thought a Continental flight to Newark and then on to Dallas would be convenient. That is until they changed the schedule on me and now I have a 4:15 wait at Newark. Over 16 hours seems a bit steep for Edinburgh-Dallas.

Still, I just bought a second laptop battery and I have plenty to be getting on with. Even at this late stage I’m still running tests and I’ll be sticking the results on a memory stick and reviewing them in transit and leading up to the start of the conference. I mention this in case you bump into me and I seem a little preoccupied 😉

The next blogs should be from Dallas. Hopefully I’ll be able to give you a few more details of what to expect from the presentations if you are thinking of attending.

  1. Hope all goes well at Hotsos. There is always a free power point at the airport if you look hard enough. Long trip though. I usually start looking within the perimeter of the refreshment faciltiies outwards… seriously though, good luck, very impressive papers. Hope all goes well and we all look forward to your presentation in May at the OUG Scotland meeting “Perspectives on Service Performance.”

  2. Cheers, Thomas.

I’m looking forward to both Hotsos and the OUG Scotland event – it looks like some line-up.
