Many thanks to David Kurtz for taking photos of a much higher quality than mine and putting them on Flickr. There are some funny photos there, including a couple of Moans Nogood helping me to distribute free beer but, judging by later photos, he appears to have consumed it all himself 😉 (Please, please don’t tell Jonathan Lewis or Tom Kyte about the free beer. I’ll use that one in future if we’re ever scheduled at the same time again). I’m particularly grateful for this one of The Dog accepting the audience’s applause for his role in the How Many Slaves paper. (Don’t think much of that idiot he’s sharing the stage with, though …)

P.S. The good bits of the paper are all mine and the errors are all his.
Just arrived at home … this time with a delayed arrival at JFK – leaving me with a 5min relay.
My luggage didn’t make it … ofcourse 🙂
I don’t know if you need to give out free beer, with those very exciting graphs you had, they are a big enough draw for people like me 🙂
I attended both of your talks, and found them both informative and entertaining. As my coworkers are currently stress testing an app, in a PX environment, your talks were timely as well.
I am looking forward to the next time I get to hear you speak.
Thanks, Scott. Good to hear you enjoyed them
As for free beer, I’ll probably just reserve it for those Jonathan and Tom scheduling conflicts. Then again, perhaps you should always assume that free beer is a possibility when you see my name on an agenda. Yes, that’s much better 😉
Cheers,
Doug
