We Do Not Use Keys

Okay, let me start by issuing a loud and fair warning. If you don’t like industrial-strength bad language, skip this blog and find something else to read. Equally, you probably don’t want to have your speakers turned on in the middle of a quiet office when you open this link. However, the audience at yesterday’s user group event seemed to find this hilarious (well the ones who were laughing drowned out everyone else).

I promised Mogens that I would post this (Which is a 19Mb video file). I think it’s a useful warning to anyone who might decide to have Mogens stay at your house. Mogens was staying at Thomas Presslie’s place the night before the user group meeting. The pair of them went out drinking at a local pub and this is what happened when they got home. Apparently in Scotland ‘We Do Not Use Keys’ (if you want to read about other things We Do Not Use, look here).

  1. Uh oh, Mogens is staying at my place next month.

Fortunately, we have one of those fancy keypads that opens the garage door if I don’t have keys.

Now, if I could only remember the password…

    Well I hope that

    1) Your wife doesn’t like to lock you out at night. (What does that say about Thomas, or Mogens?!? Maybe Thomas’ wife was frightened or something.)

    2) If she does and you can’t remember your password, bear in mind he will be carrying a tiny video camera and moderate your behaviour accordingly! You never know where it might turn up.

  3. There’s also a video clip taken just before Thomas’ feat where I’m raving about some wooden sheds in his back garden, making comparisons to small, romantic fishing villages on the West coast of Jutland. It was a good pub indeed.

    Time for a (bad) Limerick:

    Anything you say to Doug
Might end up on his blog
    But if you have drinks
And you have more than five
My camera might just catch you live

By the way, Doug, I have a 62MB video clip of you talking harsh language in a pub to an exceedingly small audience. Would you like it?

Oh, I think so, but I suspect it will be for private viewing only. 😉

You too huh? I don’t even know how to reprogram mine – last time I tried I locked out all the button remotes and it still didn’t work. I had to reboot my fridge to get the garage door to close.
