One day I might write something about Oracle but, in the meantime, Sunday was a special day for The Rabbit. As I think I’ve mentioned before, he has a fierce ambition to become a famous rock drummer one day. He’s been pestering us for a drum kit for months and we do the Daily Record crossword every Saturday. Not because it’s interesting but because we can (and because the prize is 500). We promised him an electronic drum kit if we won the prize.
My mum got wind of this and when she came to visit on Sunday, she brought this with her.

It’s a gargantuan understatement to say he’s pleased. The rest of us aren’t quite so pleased with his enthusiasm for practice, but we’re negotiating a workable solution. Maybe we’ll make a little practice area for him down in the server room.
He’s also taken to wearing his cape again. As well as being quite the glam rock fan, he enjoys progressive rock, a little jazz rock and the *mighty* ELO. In fact, if you look very carefully, he has ‘ELO ROCK’ on one of his tom-toms and ‘RABBIT’ on the other.
It warms my heart to see a happy rabbit.
ELO? Feh!

The Move was the last great rock band! 🙂
Well, thank you for that Joel!
1) The Rabbit does read this blog
2) He’s always skint
3) He now has another band’s entire back catalogue to purchase.
We were watching “The Kids Are Alright” the other night and I’m deeply concerned about some of his subsequent behaviour.
