Although I let Flatcat state his Loves and Hates for himself and he’s the new Housemate of the Month, I couldn’t leave it there.
Flatcat is one of the most long-standing and valued members of the family although he’s far too modest to admit it. Tigger was first but Flatcat turned up on Christmas Day 2000 (I think it was). He was a Christmas present from my Mum, which only goes to show there are genetic factors at work here.
I should point out that it’s “Flatcat”. One word. *A* Flatcat is acceptable, although I tend to believe there’s only one true Flatcat. A few years ago, an acquaintance claimed to have seen a blue Flatcat while they were shopping but I’m not convinced.
He’s lovely and is the glue that binds the rest of the family together. Whenever there’s tension or open argument, Flatcat chucks in a few Ghandi-esque words of peace and wisdom to calm everything down.
As for the answer being C? Whenever those prize quizzes come on at the end of TV programs, or during the adverts or even when he’s playing ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’, his answer is always … always, C.
You’d be surprised what an intelligent Flatcat he can be, but we love him, even when he’s wrong.
I’d just like to be the first to congratulate Flatcat on the accolade of Housemate of the Month. I hope it hasn’t caused any jealousy on the Comfy Seat. Congratulations Flatcat.

Far from it. We were about to conduct the monthly drawing of lots when the rest of them interrupted to say that they wanted Flatcat to be next. They all love him too and had obviously discussed it before-hand. I’m not expecting next month’s draw to go so well 🙁
>> Congratulations Flatcat.
Flatcat said ‘Thank you very much’.
I’m just glad he doesn’t think E is the write answer.
