Reading back over it once I’d printed it out the main thing that struck me was that around half of the talks I’m attending are given by people who have grossly insulted me either face to face or my email. Well,a man is judged by the quality of his detractors.
I think the extra day is an excellent idea and noticed that the seem to be a lot more talks about things I’m interested in compared with the last couple of years. 2004 and 2005 seemed very much Apps oriented.

I’m still trying to make a judgement on this. My initial reaction was that there seemed to be fewer concurrent presentations that I’m interested in but that the quality looks extremely high. However, I wasn’t taking into account the extra day and I also wasn’t looking at several streams. I focussed on Server Technology when there are actually a number of presentations in Techincal Other, Middleware and so on that I’m interested in.
As usual, I’m disappointed that there are speakers on at the same time as me that I would have liked to heard from, but I’ll be able to catch some of those at the OUG Scotland Conference next week 😉
To the best of my knowledge you’ve never insulted me. You might note that I didn’t say that the insults, in hindsight, were undeserved.
There were quite a few concurrant presentations I’m interested in, mostly in the Server Technology stream but also some in Technical Other and a couple in the Development stream. What’s missing this year are long stretches of time where there are no presentations I’m interested in.

Agreed. I noticed that too when I put together my own agenda. It’s not worth publishing yet because I’ll change my mind about 13 times between now and then 😉
I’ve put mine on my blog (not that I expect that anyone has the remotest interest where I’ll be). Barring anything major it’ll probably stay pretty much as is.
And I have *finally* rectified your ommission from my blog-roll. There are a few others that I need to get round to.
