Well, if you can make it …
Dear Doug,
Thank you for submitting your abstract, “Tracing PX Slaves”, to present at UKOUG 2006, in Birmingham.
I am delighted to confirm that you have been selected for inclusion within the programme to present on 14th November.
Kind regards
Rachel Newton
UKOUG Events Team
I take it you are pleased.
Have to see if Liza’s Datawarehousing one got through?
See you there
Oh, I hope that didn’t sound too self-congratulatory 🙁 It wasn’t intended that way.
I would have been going to Birmingham in any case, but I’m particularly pleased that both presentations will be on the first day 😉
Congratulations, Doug!
Paul
I just found out a few others I know will be there, which is a lot of the fun for me 😉
Alex Gorbachev notified me he’d had a few abstracts selected, so he’ll be attending too. On my nickel of course. I wonder if I could perhaps go. Probably not, I’ve got a new baby on the way in late August and something tells me it will be even harder than usual to extricate myself.
Paul
I’m really pleased that Alex got in – I liked the look of his presentations and I’ve enjoyed his blog and comments on other blogs.
It would be really good if you could make it over, too. It’s a small-ish, friendly event but big enough to help build Pythian’s UK profile. Maybe not, but it sounds like a ready-made justification to me 😉
Congrats Doug and thanks for the warm words. 🙂
I am looking forward to be there and will enjoy it as much as I can!
I’ve got 3 presentations on the same day. What time are yours?
Paul, I hope you will be able to make it together with me! 🙂

And I bet they clash with your presentations 🙁
You’ll have a good time anyway – UKOUG conference is a nice event.

Hi Doug,
I would like to submit a presentation article for UKOAUG, can you share me the link as you did for the Australia OAUG event. Also, since this is my first time, do you have any template or format for the abstract?
Thanks
Nilesh

Nilesh,
I think it’s too late for this year, but I blogged about it previously here.

If you follow the link in that blog, you should see some guidelines.
Cheers,
Doug
Well done Doug – see you there!
They seem to be very relaxed with their paper selection for the UKOUG Birmingham Conference. I see from the agenda for the OUG Scotland Conference that only one of Doug’s papers was accepted 😉
