Doug, I got the problem with my presentation sorted out. Here’s the story … 🙂
‘Readers will recall that I had a bit of trouble with my presentation on Tuesday. I got to the room in good time, set the laptop up correctly, so it was displaying on the screen, then walked out of the room to talk to some people outside in the few minutes remaining before starting. I then realised there was a bit of noise developing inside the lecture room, as though the session had already started, which was odd. So I quickly popped back in to see what on earth was going on …
The animal had already started without me! Well, there was a bit of an argument between us, especially as he knows sod all about SQL. So it was a rather hasty return to his bag for him! From that point on the session proceeded normally, even if the audience were somewhat bemused – the normal reaction to my presentations anyway … 😉
