New USB Stick

Just bought myself an 8GB one of these. Very pricey, but very nice 😉
(Oh, and I didn’t notice any of the Vista compatibility problems mentioned in the comments to that review)

I have a feeling it might crop up in the Oracle blog soon.

  1. hmmmmm… Like MLK, I have a dream:
being able to store an Oracle db in the elusive “RAID-5 USB key”!
    It’s getting nearer and nearer.
    😉

  2. Thanks Jason, very interesting indeed to see Bruce blogging.

As I wasn’t one of the directors, I don’t think I’m in a position to comment on whether piracy caused the demise of Imagine 😉 but it looked to me like a combination of over-rapid expansion of the cost base, poor or no games being produced and financial mismanagement.

    1. No, I wasn’t overly convinced either but, as somebody whose early interest in computing began with the Spectrum, I was fascinated by the back story to Imagine’s demise.
I too suspect the poor quality (or complete lack) of games – especially when compared to the games that the likes of Ultimate were producing – was one of the more likely factors.
I don’t recall rushing out with my hard earned paper round money to buy many Imagine games 😉.
