Some of you will have noticed that http://orablogs.com has been hitting DNS problems again. I emailed Brian Duff yesterday and Pete Finnegan mentioned it in his blog. Brian got back to me to let me know that he’s changing DNS providers to avoid future problems. There might be some interruptions as the service changes but hopefully it will improve the long-term stability of a really useful service.
If you do encounter problems in the short term, it might be worth trying the IP address :-http://83.170.75.145/orablogs/

I’m using Google Personalized Home, to access all the rss feeds i need, and with this, even if the web site is not accessible by name, i can still see the feeds with google.

I think you don’t use the blogs enough. Complain about your DNS provider, say its name out loud, and ask competitors to do a better offer with garantueed less problems. Orablogs is a high-profile website, I guess any DNS-provider would be happy to serve.
Personally, I use DirectNIC and never had any complaints. Except that I don’t have the traffic you guys have 😉

I was using granitecanyon.com, a free secondary dns provider. But it’s been enormously frustrating ever since the IP address of Orablogs changed… it seems to refuse to talk to the master dns server for the domain. There is, of course, no official support. Meh, that’s what I get for using free DNS 🙂
Anyway, now I’m using easydns.com. So far, things are looking good (the WHOIS update and DNS propagation seems to have happened extremely quickly unlike the nightmare a few months ago).
