I just heard some rather unfortunate news. Andy Campbell from Sun, who I’ve relied on for material now and again (and is a trusted technical reviewer from time to time) has gone and started his own blog. Expect to get much more useful information there than from me because Andy’s one of the best (among many) DBAs I’ve worked with. Some people might even describe Andy as a bit of a geek but I couldn’t possibly comment on that. (You know I vaguely remember a comment from Andy along the lines of – ‘So, all you did was start a blog and the next minute you’re having free beer and food with Tom Kyte and Jonathan Lewis?’ Shame on you Andy, but I think you’ve missed that particular boat, unless we hire the Symphony Hall for the next Blogger Dinner.)
Andy, get ready. Apparently there is a Doug Burns effect these days, so you can expect more hits than yer average startup blog. Don’t say I never did anything for you 😉
Now then, which Andy C is my favourite? Do I go for the technical or the witty and urbane?
Doug,
You are too kind. Prepare for a period of radio silence though as I take a short break. Who knows. One day I might summon up a technical posting which will confuse everyone.
