Shrek!

I’m pleased to be able to use that as a blog title. Shrek (as he seems to be known by most people in the Oracle Community) is actually Bill Thater. His blog lives here. I met Shrek for the first time at the Hotsos Symposium last month and he’s a lovely guy and been doing this Oracle thing for quite a while. Check it out.

I also noticed that everyone seems to be in transit just now. Mark Rittman’s arrived in Nashville (guitar in hand, no doubt), Tom Kyte’s in Europe. Me? I’ll be in Manchester on Thursday 😉 I’m looking forward to it because I’ll see a few familiar faces and Jeff Moss is threatening to talk to me about PX all night. (Actually, that’s a lie, I think I threatened it first)

I can’t remember precisely how Peter Robson and I left this, but either he’ll be doing some guest blogs here on his experiences in Nashville, or perhaps he’ll start his own temporary blog. I, for one, want to know what’s going on over there.

There is also a Shrek outside the Oracle community, you know. And he’s popular too 🙂

everyone = Mark + Tom + Doug? Just kidding, I know what you mean. I wish I could be in transit … to the Bahamas or Hawaii just now 🙂

And, much as I like Bill, he’s not *quite* the reak thing 😉

    I thought that too 😉

In fairness, Peter Robson’s on his way too, but he doesn’t blog, so I couldn’t link …

  3. ahh, but the travel tables will turn as they say….

sure, I’m on the road for two weeks – but when I get back – My wife leaves for trip to Ireland (and I get the kids – you are apparently NOT allowed to call it babysitting when they are your own kids! I must remember that).

She is taking her Mom to the Emerald Isle for her 70th birthday present.

    So glad to have a T1 now…

I remember I used to have a big problem with people saying I’d be ‘watching’ my daughter when I’d prefer ‘spending time with’. She was way ahead of me, as usual, and probably realised it was ‘watching’ from the start.

  5. i guess this is my 15 min. of fame?;-) now if i can be a bit more consistant about posting.😉 they seem to want me to actually work.
